I missed the bus on the last day of school. That’s pretty funny actually.

So I ended up going in for like fifteen minutes around noon to pick up the rest of the books in my locker and say bye to some people, with my pink shirt of course. And then I went into work and worked til almost midnight. So, it was of course a fun way to end the challenge.

It’s wierd to be done now. I can actually pick a different shirt to wear. It’s kind of going to feel awkward, but I’ll get used to it, I guess.

Thanks all for the encouragement. It’s been a fun challenge, but now my other shirts are calling my name.. If I can find where I put them all.

DAY 137. ONLY ONE DAY LEFT, HOLY CRAP.

It feels absolutely wonderful to have no homework or studying to do. Yet, it hasn’t sunk in that I dont have to go to school on Monday.
I’m pretty sad. I won’t miss the studying and bad grades, but school itself seems to be going by so much quicker than expected.
But tomorrow is the last day. It’s kind of a weird feeling.
But on a positive note, im less than 24 hours away from completing this pink shirt challenge.
Thank you all who followed this challenge. You were my inspiration.

Today I did have some people give me props for (almost) completing this challenge.

I’m proud. But there’s only two days left, woah!

Oh well. But today I had school and work. And guess what I have tomorrow and friday? Yep, school and work!
But I need the money to make up for all these instruments i’ve been buying!

There’s not quite a lot too much more to say. Just hang in there, you know?

I only have three more days of pink shirts.

I’m sad.

But I came up with a new idea.

Today, I played dodgeball for two hours. And sat in school doing nothing, because there’s nothing to do. But I still go. I dislike the kids who leave early. You only have three days left, just go! I’m sad theres only three days left, I’d make the best out of the end of my sophomore year. It’s sad. Time goes by fast. Next year, I’ll be a junior, and it seems after that I’ll be graduating already. Life really goes by quick, and I wish it didn’t.

But it does, so I’m gonna stop complaining about it and go do something with my life. See ya!

My pink shirt challenge seems to be winding to an end.

I have four days left of school.

Thus, I have four days left of pink shirts.
So therefore, I promise to blog everynight for the rest of this challenge.

So wanna know what’s been up in the last ten days?

Well, I bought a Fender Telecaster and a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass and an Acoustic B200 Combo amp, and some straps and strings and shnazz.

So is it officially safe to say I have no life?

No. It’s not.

It’s officially safe to say I’ll never have enough money to buy a car, but I have a life.
I have a money-making-but-spends-all-my-money-on-instruments-life. But that’s good enough for me. Someday, these investments will pay me back.

But other than that and school coming to a close, not too much has happened.

I would recommend watching this video.
Yes, it’s 11 minutes long. But this kid is 9 years old and he’s absolutely incredible. If everyone could think like this and strive to make the best out of what you have, despite limited materials, then our world would be such a better place. It shows how a small idea can go big. Never give up.

Well this is officially to the point where its safe to say that I suck at blogging.

But putting my lack of blogging skills to the side, I still wear the same shirt everyday. So I give myself props for that.. Just not so much the blogging.

But lets see here, its been a good last two and half weeks. So where were we last?
I believe I was in Washington DC last time we talked, right? Right.

So let’s move forward here. DC trip had a good ending and all, but my biggest and greatest news of my past few weeks has been that I won a freakin’ poetry slam. That’s right ladies, say hello to the winner. Bam. Other big news? Let’s see.. I saw Dave Matthews Band just a few days ago, and, I, um, well, I guess those are my only two huge events. Those and pink shirts. But eh, whatever. 2 pretty awesome things in a two week span. Not terrible. And on the other spectrum, when stress gets the best of you, just fight through it. And I guess that’s about all I have to say for right now though.

Sadly, my pink shirt challenge will come to an end in a few short days. June 15th.

Only 15 more days of pink shirts. And even though I say sadly, really it will be glorious to wear a new shirt for once. Thank you all.

So, I’ve obviously been blogging recently.

Sorry! But guess what!

I’m in Washington DC! Awh yes.
Full of fun and pink shirts.
And let me tell you, these things are like the secret ingredient I’ve never had.
About 3 groups of some fine young ladies have asked me to have pictures with them,
And I’m just like “Hey, why not!”
These shirts are some lady attracters, let me tell you.

But aside from my infamous popularity, Washington DC is quite a fun place to be in.
I shall post some pictures here soon.

So I had an epic fail of blogging over the weekend, but all is well.

Saturday, was Cinco De Mayo. I had work, and that’s about it.
Sunday, I also worked.
Yesterday, I had school.

So yesterday, I had school and work. Not much of an excitement, but it passes time, right?
Today I had school, and my house. As in I really didn’t do much.
Though I am 5 days away from Day 100 which is pretty freaking exciting.

Days 92 & 93

“It’s been 93 days already?! Damn!”
Yeah, that’s what I thought too.

7 days away from wearing the same shirt for 100 days = success.
Beat that, homie.

Yesterday I was sportin’ the cut-off with a white tee under it. It’s nice to spit out a new look. It’s hard to be so hip everyday when you’re already more hipster than it gets. So sometimes it’s nice to throw a little oomph in there.

Today I had a track meet. I ran a 5:10 in the mile, which sucks.
I mean, it’s not that bad. But I really can’t cut 2.5 seconds off each lap? Come on!

But determination is key. It will happen one day.

Day 87 & Day 88

Hello people of tumblr! How’s life treatin’ ya?
I’ve been on like a two day blogging drift, but you don’t mind, do you?
Ah, thanks.

So yesterday,
DAY 87
I had a track meet. I know I said I’d break five in the mile. But guess what the winning time of the race was? It was only a 5:02. I came in right after with a 5:10.
So, my point here is that the number one wasn’t even a sub 5.
So when I can pace myself off that, I will break five.
Next week. It’s happening. Thank you.
DAY 88
Today, I attended a middle school slam competition. I’m in high school, so obviously I couldn’t compete. But my friend and I wrote a poem about an hour before the show to open everything up. You know, break the ice for the middle schoolers.
We wrote a poem on facial hair.
I shall post it sometime.
And, on top of all:
We sported the Dunkin’ shirts while performing.
Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!
We’re also going to perform it tomorrow.
Hopefully no one reads this blog so that they don’t know that.
But anyways, yeah! That was my day.
I have kids ask me all the time what day I’m on for this challenge.
I must say, it will be remembered.

Never go down with nothing for them to remember you. Make an impact, leave a legacy.

Day 85 & 86

DAY 85: Well.

I can’t remember what I did yesterday. Obviously nothing life changing or super important.
Hmm, school, track practice, home. And yeah, that’s about it.

DAY 86: It’s not huge, but still.

Every single day at track, my coach says, “Oh woah. Nice shirt Kyle. Haven’t seen that one before. Is it new?”

I get comments like that all the time.
And though I’m not sure what all people think of it,
Well, I know that 86 days is pretty darn impressive.
Although, not really.
Is all I do is wear the same shirt everyday.
But still.

Not all things in life have to be huge to be meaningful.
It’s not exactly hard to wear the same shirt everyday, but everyone will remember it at our 50th high school reunion.
So I’d say its worth it for that reason.
And, I guess there’s not much left to say.

I have a track meet tomorrow.
I will break five minutes in the mile.
I know I say that a lot, but confidence is key.
I got this.

DAY 84: I need a car.

I took a lovely trip to guitarcenter, had a huge burrito at moe’s, and came home and car-shopped on the internet. Beautiful day, huh?

How was yours? Fantastic, I hope.
I get my license in under two months. I need a car.
Good on gas, enough room for music equipment, cheap, and stylin’.

Maybe not the stylin’ part. But good on gas, and good amount of space. Under $3000.
Challenge accepted.

Days 82 & 83

DAY 82: sporting’ my shirt

I had a track invitational at ESU. I only ran the mile.
I ran a 5:13, which isn’t too bad, but I’m still not proud.
I was about 19th place out of I think 27. With a 5 13.
If that just gives you a brief idea of how fast that race was, then thank you. The winning time was a 4:21. Absolutely ridiculous.
But nonetheless, It was a fun day. I enjoyed wearing getting asked if I worked at Dunkin Donuts numerous times.

DAY 83:
I started this glorious day off in detention. Which honestly, wasn’t all that bad.
Then I went home, took a nine hour nap (not really), and then went to work. Which was as busy as could be. Cause of course everyone needs pizza when it’s downpouring outside.
But at least I made good tip money.
And now, im just sitting down watching nothing on tv. How fun.

DAY 81: It’s what I do.

School and track meet. Pretty good day, I say!
I had a few people ask me If I work at dunkin. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.

Poetry is about taking over my life, and I like it. The crowds that I would seem embarrassed to perform in front of now seem to be the ones impressed with me.
I need more poems though. I only have like three set to heart that I love performing. But I’ve lately been at least doing a poem to someone almost every day, whether it be friends, family, a class, or anything. But do what you do. Cause poetry’s what I do. Something that I’m actually good at.
You’ll find something that you didn’t even know you could do someday. Just keep searching.

Day 80

DAY 80: Learning.

80 days completed!
Yes.

School. Work. Fun day.
But actually it was. This morning in school I went to a poetry workshop. That actually happened to be pretty fun.
I enjoy learning about new things, especially things I like.

You can only learn so much.
So learn the most you can. Life is short, don’t waste it by only doing what you’re used to.
Take a risk, make a difference. Learn new shit.

Same Tees for a Week!

A couple of weeks ago, one of my friends suggested me to wear the same P&G Credit Union t-shirt. Now, it’s not really the same; it’s basically the same design but different color. I was going to start this a couple weeks back, but Easter break was coming right around the corner, and I wouldn’t be able to wear all of my Credit Union shirts in an entire week. What really inspired me to do this though was Kyle Shupp. Shout - out goes to Kyle for wearing the same shirt for almost eighty days. Impressive, buddy! Absolutely impressive! Keep up the good work, Kyle! I wish you the best of luck!
